Literally saved from the dump!

I got this for 10 money from a local recycling centre. It was in really bad shape cosmetically. It's the education only model so was definitely in a school once, and it looked like the kids had spent all their time trying to scratch up the front as much as possible.

Luckily, cleaning one of these up is pretty similar to buffing the scratches out of an iPod - sand it down a bunch, then polish with metal polish. I got most of the scratches out and now I think it looks pretty good. I also upgraded it to max RAM (2GB)

This machine was also unfortunately the culprit behind me wrecking both of my ankles from trying to carry it, so I really paid 10 money and two months of being crippled. The reason for this is the fact that this thing weighs like 26kg and I was pulling it out of the back of my friend's very small car. Wasn't fun but the Trinitron was worth it! At least, that's what I tell myself.

This Mac lives in my kitchen and does duty as the recipe video player. It's kind of absurd luxury watching YouTube recipe videos on a 17" Trinitron :D

Proudly made on my iMac G5
